It's been a busy week. Five assignments due and readings every night. It's a lot of work. But, it will be worth it in the end. I'm hoping that the Fall semester will be easier and not so fast paced.
Friday night around 11:30 I was typing up a group project due for Monday. The rest of my group was at a bar in downtown Chapel Hill. I felt like the nerdy old lady trying to get ahead. But, since I had to email the draft for them to look over, I didn't want them to be waiting around on me. At least I got it done and didn't have to worry about it on Sunday night (especially since I had to write a paper that I had put off until Sunday).
I am really enjoying my technology assignment to find websites that I can use for music. I have to write a lesson plan that is due Friday. This is easy. I have chosen to do a lesson plan on Camille Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals. There is so much out there on the internet about this, especially for elementary students. It's not something that can be used in just one lesson, but I can start with that. It would definitely be unit worthy :)
I've gotten to know some of the other grad students in my program. Most of them are just out of their undergrad, but there are a few older students, too. Getting to know them is really helping make the transition from stay-at-home-and-sometimes-work mom to full-time student.
I have been so tired. Not getting much sleep. I went to sleep early last night, and I slept for 2 hours this afternoon. I think I will go to sleep now, too.
Sending prayers out to the Sieradski family for Dave! We will miss you greatly! Just another tragic loss that reminds me that life is short, and we don't know when the end will be. Live life to the fullest everyday!
